Ani is a theatrical milliner and costume maker with 10 years experience, having trained at Wimbledon School of Art.  She also has skill and experience in metal-smithing, dyeing, knitting, prop making, teaching and supervision.
 
Ani produces a limited range of high quality hats, head-pieces, fabric buttons and cuff-links which can be purchased through her Folksy shop. Ani specialises in period, theatre, ballet and unusual millinery and wire work. She predominantly works freelance for theatre and film productions, having worked on projects such as In love with Barbara (BBC4), A Christmas Carol (Northern Ballet Theatre) and Madonna, Sweet & Sticky Tour (Live Nation). She also has experience as a costume supervisor, and recently worked in this capacity for Welsh National Youth Opera’s production of Sweeney Todd.
 
Ani has been resident milliner at Welsh National Opera for the past five years, creating hats and head-dresses for new productions and re-creating items for revivals. Her experience during this time has covered such diverse projects as Seven Deadly Sins, Merry Widow and Otello.
 
Ani currently teaches millinery and wirework at undergraduate level on Coleg Morgannwg’s Costume Construction for Stage & Screen Foundation Degree. Ani also runs millinery workshops from time to time; if you would be interested in attending one of these, or would like to commission a workshop for your organisation, please contact for further information or for inclusion on the mailing list.
 
Ani is co-founder and the current Chair of the Bristol Art Fringe. BAF organises the Montpelier Art Trail, to great success, and multiple other art shows and exhibitions throughout the year.
